Initial Consultation Process

Your first visit is all about getting to know you and your unique needs. We'll start with a friendly chat about your health history and what brings you to reflexology. I'll take the time to explain how reflexology works and answer any questions you might have.

My goal is to make you feel comfortable, informed, and excited about starting your reflexology journey.

Women's Health

As a woman, I understand the unique health challenges we face throughout our lives. That's why I'm passionate about using reflexology to support women's health at every stage. From adolescence to post-menopause, reflexology can be a powerful tool to help you feel your best.

Menstrual Health and Hormonal Balance

Many women struggle with menstrual issues such as painful periods, irregular cycles, or heavy bleeding. Conditions like PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and endometriosis can cause significant discomfort and affect your quality of life. Reflexology can help by promoting hormonal balance, reducing inflammation, and easing pain. My clients often report more regular cycles, reduced PMS symptoms, and an overall sense of balance after regular sessions.

Fertility and Pregnancy

If you're on a fertility journey, reflexology can be a supportive therapy to enhance your natural fertility. It may help regulate ovulation, reduce stress (a key factor in fertility), and promote overall reproductive health. For those undergoing assisted reproductive treatments, reflexology can be a complementary therapy to support your body through the process.

During pregnancy, reflexology can be a wonderful way to support your changing body. From easing morning sickness in the first trimester to preparing for birth in the final weeks, gentle reflexology techniques can help you feel more comfortable and relaxed throughout your pregnancy.

Postpartum Care

The postpartum period is when I personally experienced the incredible benefits of reflexology. It can help with recovery after birth, support breastfeeding, and aid in hormonal rebalancing. Reflexology can also be a valuable tool for managing the emotional and physical demands of new motherhood, helping you feel more grounded and energised.

Menopause and Beyond

As we transition into menopause, our bodies go through significant changes that can be challenging to navigate. Reflexology can help manage many common menopausal symptoms, including:

  • Hot flushes and night sweats
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Anxiety and mood swings
  • Joint pain
  • Brain fog and difficulty concentrating
  • Changes in libido
  • Weight fluctuations

By working on specific reflex points, I can help support your endocrine system, promote hormonal balance, and ease these symptoms. Many of my menopausal clients report feeling more like themselves again after regular reflexology sessions.

Throughout all these stages, reflexology offers more than just physical benefits. It provides a space for relaxation, self-care, and stress relief - something that's invaluable in our busy lives as women. Many of my clients find that regular reflexology sessions help them feel more balanced, reduce discomfort, and boost their overall sense of wellbeing.

Whether you're dealing with a specific women's health issue or simply want to maintain your overall wellness, I'm here to support you with personalised reflexology treatments. Let's work together to help you feel your best at every stage of your life.

Babies, Children & Teens

Little feet benefit from reflexology too! I offer gentle, nurturing reflexology sessions for babies and children. For infants, reflexology can help soothe colic, ease teething discomfort, and improve sleep patterns. Older children often find reflexology helpful for managing stress, improving concentration, and easing growing pains. As a mum, I know how to make these sessions fun and relaxing for your little ones.

As a School of Calmology BabyReflex practitioner, you can learn gentle and effective techniques to support common baby ailments through Baby Reflex classes, designed specifically for parents and carers. You’ll gain valuable insights into various soothing methods and enhance bonding with your baby through gentle and nurturing touch. Baby Reflex is fully accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and is CPD-approved by the Association of Reflexologists (AoR), ensuring high-quality, professional instruction.

Aches, Pains & Energy - Supporting the whole body

Trained in advanced musculoskeletal techniques I can help support people dealing with aches, pains, or injuries reflexology could provide the relief you're looking for.

By working on specific reflex points and treating the whole body working specific reflex points, reflexology can be part of your pain management plan to help reduce pain and improve energy and mobility. When in pain this creates stress in the body and reflexology works to relax and promote healing and calm the nervous system, this can then support improvements in circulation, mobility, improved sleep so that that healing can take place, improved energy and mood..

Whether you're an athlete recovering from an injury, someone with chronic back pain, or dealing with conditions like, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis or any other pain/energy condition then reflexology can be a valuable part of your pain management strategy.

The Effects of Stress

In our fast-paced world, stress has become a constant companion for many of us. I've experienced this myself and see many others grappling with the pressures of parenting, work demands, maintaining work-life balance, financial concerns, and caregiving responsibilities. The impact of stress on our health can be far-reaching and profound.

Research indicates that an astounding 90% of illnesses and diseases are stress-related. This statistic underscores the critical importance of stress management and quality sleep in the healing process. Chronic stress can lead to a cascade of health issues, including: Sleep disturbances, digestive problems, weakened immunity, cardiovascular issues, hormonal imbalances, musculoskeletal tension and pain, mental health challenges.

Left unchecked, chronic stress can even contribute to more serious health conditions. That's where reflexology comes in as a powerful tool for managing stress and promoting overall wellbeing. Reflexology can play a crucial role in inducing relaxation and improving sleep quality. By promoting deep relaxation and helping to balance your nervous system, reflexology benefits various body systems that are adversely affected by stress. It can support your digestive, cardiovascular, lymphatic, immune, hormonal, nervous, and musculoskeletal systems, all of which can be negatively impacted by chronic stress.

Many of my clients really look forward to their sessions as it gives them a chance – a time to unwind, recharge, and let go of tension. Through regular sessions, you may find yourself better equipped to handle life's stressors, experiencing improved sleep, reduced tension, and an overall sense of balance and wellbeing.

Remember, taking time for stress management isn't a luxury – it's a necessity for your health and wellbeing. Let's work together to help you manage stress effectively and support your body's natural healing processes through the power of reflexology.

Palliative Care & Cancer Support

For those facing serious health challenges, reflexology can offer gentle, compassionate support. Reflexology is offered in NHS and hospice settings for palliative and cancer patients and their carers and the hope is that this will become more widespread. The UK is so far behind other countries that offer complementary therapies, including reflexology, to patients and I hope to be part of the movement that raises the importance of these therapies to support people living with cancer or in palliative care.

In palliative care settings, reflexology can help manage pain, reduce anxiety, and promote relaxation. For individuals undergoing cancer treatment, reflexology may help alleviate some side effects of treatment, such as nausea and fatigue and offer a period of rest and relaxation and a chance to switch off from worry and anxiety for a short while.

I am trained in specialised techniques for lymphatic drainage, which can be particularly beneficial in certain cancer diagnoses. While reflexology is not a cure, it can be a valuable complementary therapy to support comfort and quality of life. It is also important to recognise carers and a treatment for carers would also hugely benefit both patients and their support network.

I'm here to support you on your wellness journey.
